Who We Are

Mirab Social Services and Development Organization (MSSADO) is a non-profit entity officially registered with Afghanistan's Ministry of Economy in 2022, with operational centers in Herat and Kabul. The organization is dedicated to advancing sustainable development across the country by focusing on creating opportunities for vulnerable populations, particularly women and children. Alongside its humanitarian goals, MSSADO also addresses critical environmental challenges. Its founding team consists of a diverse group of specialists from fields such as engineering, medicine, social science, and law, enabling a comprehensive and knowledge-driven approach to its mission.

MSSADO focuses on long-term stability in Afghanistan through projects in disaster reduction, water management, and agriculture. To address the current crisis, it prioritizes emergency response, WASH, and food security. The organization partners with international and academic institutions to ensure its operations are transparent and effective, linking immediate aid to sustainable development.

Director’s Message

Afghanistan faces severe, interconnected challenges, including poverty, natural disasters, and water scarcity, which disproportionately affect rural communities. Without comprehensive strategies like disaster risk reduction (DRR) and integrated water management, these issues will worsen. MSSADO is committed to addressing both immediate humanitarian needs—such as food, water, and medicine—and long-term development. Through innovative programs that combine technical expertise with deep community engagement, MSSADO creates sustainable solutions for water management and climate resilience. The organization welcomes partnerships with like-minded entities to support its steadfast mission of serving the Afghan people during these challenging times.
