Empowering Afghan Women: Seismic Safety and Psychosocial Well-being

Recognizing the vulnerability of women and girls to earthquakes in Afghanistan, MSSADO, in partnership with WEFSO, implemented an earthquake safety training and drill program for women in Herat Province. The initiative engaged 100 educated women—including doctors, engineers, and teachers—and provided safety training, brochures, and awareness materials to strengthen disaster preparedness and promote knowledge sharing within families and communities.
