Expert Dialogue on Kabul Water Crisis (September 2024)

In September 2024, MSSADO, in partnership with the Afghanistan Water and Environmental Experts Network (AWEPNet) and the Environmental Protection Trainings and Development Organization (EPTDO), organized a high-level virtual expert dialogue addressing Kabul’s escalating water crisis. The event convened international UN advisors, water resource specialists, and academic researchers to assess the current water security situation, explore sustainable water supply options from the Panjshir sub-basin, and discuss financial and logistical challenges. This initiative reinforced MSSADO’s leadership in evidence-based policy dialogue and international collaboration to support long-term water security solutions for Afghanistan.
